What kind of karate kimono for kids?
Karate kimono for kids should be made of soft and lightweight material. The recommended weight is about 200 g/m2. The optimal composition of the material is cotton and polyester - the recommended ratio is about 65% cotton and 35% polyester such proportions ensure the comfort of training and make the material resistant to tearing.
What size karate kimono to choose?
Cotton as a natural material tends to shrink during washing, so it is worth choosing a size larger than the height of the child, for example, if the child is 120 cm tall it is recommended to choose a size 130 cm.
Which kimono for kumite (fighting) training
Kimonas for kumite should be made of soft lightweight material to ensure freedom of movement during combat. Professional kimonos additionally use ventilation mesh on the back for better ventilation.
Which kimono for kata training?
Kimono for kata training should have a larger weight (about 350 g.m2) and be made of stiffer material by which it will make "noise" when making molds.
